As a food tour guide for international visitors, you’ll enjoy conversations with travelers while introducing your favorite parts of Japanese culture — especially food!

We are hiring friendly guides to lead small-group food tours in Kyoto.

You’ll take guests to local restaurants, street food stalls, and hidden gems, sharing background stories and cultural context in English.

If you enjoy meeting new people and want to use your language skills, this is the perfect job for you!

Job Details

• Location: Kyoto city

• Working hours: About 3 hours per tour

• Schedule: Shift-based (flexible)

• Contract: Long-term (4 months or longer)

• Pay: ¥1,800/hour

• Breaks: No break (tours are 3 hours straight)

• Transportation: Expenses covered

• Insurance: General business activity insurance

• Dress & hairstyle: Free

• Smoking: Not allowed during the tour

Language Requirements

• English: advanced level

• Japanese: Beginner OK! (Tours are mainly in English)

• TOEIC/TOEFL scores are welcome but not required
